Meet us in the garden on September 19th at 6:00pm for The Art of the New Gathering – a Conversation with Luna Maye and Antoinette Marie Johnson at The Viaduct (500 N Tenth St. Philadelphia, PA). This Fireside open conversation and dinner will invite people to explore what it looks like to create meaningful gatherings in our ever-changing modern lives. After dinner, we'll get lost in the melody dancing in the garden under the starry night sky feat. music by Del. Followed by an intimate violin performance fireside by the gifted Alfiya Glow.
Luna Maye is a Sound Artist + Founder of The Sound Lab who formally worked for 10 + years as an event planner. During that time she crafted intentional gatherings for clients such as The Barnes Foundation, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants + The Pennsylvania Ballet. Antoinette Marie Johnson is the Founder of Cohere a design team that has brought brand experiences to life such as The Butchers Daughter, The Wayward, Schulson Restaurants and the Viaduct space itself. Together they will explore:
- The window of opportunity to create events in today's day and age.
- What does your mind body and heart crave in a connection?
- What do you think your community needs right now? How to serve them during this strange time.
- An open conversation on how gathering will be impacted by this cultural shift and ways for artists, entrepreneurs to take advantage of it.
- Your $60 ticket provides you a place in the conversation, dinner by Chef Erik Oberholtzer which will include 2 main dishes of warm, locally grown food: North African stew with eggplant, pepper, and rustic garbanzo beans cooked in melted Heirloom tomato over fonio. Paired with freshly baked bread and a seasonal soup.
