Philadelphia City Repair Project (PCRP) invites you to join us on Friday, June 11th from 6-10 pm for a celebration after the first day of the 3rd Annual Philly Village Building Convergence. We will be gathering at The Viaduct for a series of evening events to continue the Village atmosphere and celebrate our city-wide volunteer efforts from the day. There will be speakers, workshops, vendors, DJs, drinks, and food. Join us as we party with our community for a night filled with dancing, learning, and love.
We ask for a $10 to $20 donation to the Philadelphia City Repair Project in exchange for entrance to the event. If you are feeling generous there is also an option to donate more and help cover the entrance for someone who might not be able to afford it.
PCRP is a non-profit organization that works to help community groups and individuals to transform their neighborhoods by reclaiming public space. We believe in creating and supporting environments that foster community, art, and ecology that are made by the people who live in them.
Each summer we host our largest event, the Philly Village Building Convergence (Philly VBC). Through a city-wide volunteer effort and a wide range of partnerships between community organizations, grassroots groups, and individuals, the Philly VBC is brought to life! At its root, Philly VBC is about community building and seeing the strength and beauty of collective action. This work has highlighted the shared desire of Philadelphians wishing to live in sustainable environments and neighborhoods.
The third-ever Philly VBC is scheduled to take place June 11th – 13th. Over the course of the weekend, 10 community-designed beautification projects will be installed across the city. Over the course of the weekend, volunteers are invited to participate in bringing these projects to life, which have been funded by PCRP. Each project offers an educational opportunity to learn more about permaculture design and construction, ecological building, and public art. If you are interested in volunteering sign up here.
