PRIVATE EVENT
Maidencreek Co. is hosting a Re-Emergence Flower + Plant Sale to celebrate the start of summer at The Viaduct (500 N 10th Street), this Friday, June 12th. All are welcome to shop from at 11am-3pm with a portion of the proceeds going directly towards BLJ Community Rowing.
Beginning at 3pm the event will close to the public for a private hour of shopping where 100% of PROCEEDS will be donated to BLJ. A happy hour including light food, wine, and beer will begin at 4:30pm.
BLJ Community Rowing a “Boathouse Without Walls” is the only Black-owned and operated rowing organization in the country. BLJ is committed to providing access to the elite sport of rowing to nontraditional participants. By being the access point and teaching underserved communities how to use rowing as a vehicle to expand life options, BLJ is providing an opportunity for more choice.
The happy hour reception will benefit the BLJ Community Rowing with a suggested donation of $10+. The money raised will support a stronger re-emergence from COVID and help prepare this team and their community to conquer the water once again!
Small bites will be provided by Chef Erik Oberholtzer with wine & beer provided by our sponsor, Cohere.
